GET INVOLVED

Bright Links

Our flagship ementoring programme, Bright Links, provides ementoring support for 14-19 year olds across all subjects. If you work for a university, Local Authority, Aimhigher, or another organisation and want to support  students through ementoring, then a subscription to Bright Links is a cost-effective, flexible way of doing this and you’ll benefit from the resources and experience that BrightsideUNIAID has developed.

Mentees

Mentees on Bright Links can:

  • Have secure conversations with their mentor
  • Access a library of topical news, videos and resources covering a wide range of themes including:
    • CV writing and interview skills
    • Confidence building
    • Further and Higher Education options
    • University life and budgeting
    • Subject information and career profiles including Medicine and healthcare, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering, Architecture, Finance
    • Media, Law, Business/ enterprise
  • Complete coaching activities to develop key skills, including goal-setting, confidence-building, student finance, study skills, and more.
  • Contact a dedicated coordinator who can answer questions about the scheme or site in a secure environment.

Mentors

Mentors on Bright Links will have access to all of the above, plus:

  • An online mentor training programme – completion of which will lead to a certificate 
  • A mentor support area, providing ementoring tips and advice and a means to communicate with other mentors and their scheme coordinator

Partners

To help you ensure your scheme is successful, we provide ongoing support throughout the project. By subscribing to Bright Links, you will receive:

  • Implementation guidance
  • A complete training package for mentors and mentees
  • Bright Links branded mentor and mentee handbooks
  • A training session for your delivery staff
  • Delivery of your first mentor or mentee training session
  • Ongoing monitoring support of mentoring correspondence
  • Support with the uploading of mentors and mentees to the website
  • Membership of a national ementoring network
  • Ongoing technical support via a designated Brightside member of staff for the scheme coordinator and all users
