To date, over 18,000 mentees and mentors have used our ementoring through a range of projects. Our focus is supporting 14-25 year olds, from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, with the transition to higher education and employment. Our projects use a ‘near to peer’ approach, connecting school pupils with volunteer undergraduate mentors or professionals from a range of backgrounds, or linking undergraduate mentees with professionals to support them into the world of work.
Our projects are run in partnership with universities, Aimhigher, Local Authorities and partners from the voluntary and corporate sectors. If you’d like to run a project with us, you can subscribe to our Bright Links ementoring service, or develop a customised project with us.
Our flagship ementoring programme connects 14-19 year olds with undergraduate mentors or professionals who can help them explore their options for university, including courses, university life, careers and student finance.
If you want to start ementoring to support your widening participation activities, Aimhigher Associates scheme or IAG strategy, then why not consider joining the Bright Links network.

More information and case studies
Subject specific ementoring creates links between school pupils who are interested in a specific career, and an undergraduate or professional studying or working in that area.
We run projects that provide targeted support to specific groups, for example Children in Care or Student Parents. We always welcome new ideas for projects which could benefit from ementoring and we are currently seeking funding to provide ementoring support to young offenders and disabled young people. If you have a project idea or would like to support us, please contact us.
